Nov 22, 2021 · Shudder under acceleration over 45mph. I’m getting a shudder/stutter when accelerating above 45mph. When I give it throttle above 45mph and it down shifts and puts the RPMs at 2,000, the shudder/stutter starts until 2,500 RPMs and then goes away. No issues under 45mph, during steady state driving, and it happen less when in tow haul mode. It was making similar vibrations and similar acceleration problems. I could ease it up to 50 mph but if I pushed it then back down to no power. Pulled into a parts store,changed fuel filter and they analyzed it. Said it was the fuel pressure regulator. Another thing to check is the FICM harness at the side of the alternator, it is tied down with a zip tie. The sharp corner of the FICM bracket cuts into the wires and causes a short.
